Naomi cast in Marilyn Monroe new movie - 2010-10-22

Naomi Watts has reportedly been cast in a new film of Marilyn Monroe. The Aussie star will play an "imagined memoir" of the legendary icon in Blond, a movie based on the book by Joyce Carol Oates, reported New Zealand movie blog Stuff.com. Naomi said about the project, "We'll see how things go. It's not the glossy, gorgeous Marilyn Monroe we’re portraying here in a biopic. It’s a very meaty, intense project." Another Marilyn Monroe film is already being filmed in London, with Michelle Williams on the lead role. The latter is produced by Weinstein Company and is titled is My Week With Marilyn.

Naomi Watts loves having two boys – but she still wants a girl someday. The Aussie actress explains why it is so easy for her to relate with boys. “I grew up a tomboy,” “so I never had dolls or girly things.” Naomi also said that going out with the kids is a messy experience. “Going to restaurants can be an experience. Both the boys are at an age where they create havoc. “We just make a general mess wherever we go. You never really get to eat.” Talking about her desire to have a baby girl, she confessed, “The only thing I miss about not having girls is the pretty dresses, but I can do that with my niece.”

Naomi Watts was reportedly embarrassed to see her lover Liev Schreiber dressed up in drag for his upcoming movie. In the new comedy-drama Taking Woodstock, Schreiber plays a woman that dons wigs and heels. He told the Daily Telegraph, "Naomi was mortified, as were both my children. " sayingBut I think that was part of the point. If I could be comfortable in drag as Vilma (his character) in front of my family, then anybody can," he added.

Naomi’s older son hospitalized - 2009-05-07

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber's older son was hospitalized but he’s doing well now, according to reports. The actors’ 21-month-old kid, Sasha, was taken to the hospital because of respiratory troubles. The news came to light after the actor missed Tuesday (April 28) night's LA premiere of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" so he could joined wife Naomi. Liev’s spokesperson Ina Treciokas told the press, "Sasha got home today and is feeling much better after being hospitalized on Tuesday night with respiratory problems." The couple is also parents to six-month-old Samuel.

Naomi and Nicole Kidman exchange toys tips - 2009-03-06

Naomi Watts has received some parenting advice from actress and friend Nicole Kidman. The International star, who delivered second son, Samuel Kai at the end of 2008, exchanged tips on baby toys with fellow Aussie stunner. Naomi said, "We have been swapping some parenting tips. "I did ask her the other day where she got her thing that she attaches to her crib that plays music. It's very handy."
